Are vegans healthier than meat eaters?

Our eating habits are a crucial component of our lifestyle. People usually pick their food preferences based on taste, nutritional value, their budget, and their social and moral beliefs.  Vegans tend to justify their diet according to the environmental impact that meat-eating has or the belief that veganism is healthier. Social issues aside, my focus will be on the nutritional aspect of veganism vs omnivorism.   What is a vegan?  A vegan mainly eats plant-based food and omits meat and all animal products e.g milk, cheese, and eggs from their diet.  What is an omnivore?  An omnivore eats an assortment of foods of both plant and animal origin.  Pros of veganism 1. Baked Veggie Egg Muffins Recipe



We are all familiar with fried, scrambled, boiled, and poached eggs. But have you ever tried baked eggs? If not, you should! Baking eggs allows for more creativity and versatility. This baked veggie egg muffin recipe that I am sharing is a fun alternative to the classic breakfast omelette. I also like this recipe because there is no frying involved. So if you are not a fan of the typical greasy breakfast, this recipe is for you!

Ingredients:

4 eggs
I cup chopped vegetables
½ cup of milk 
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tsp curry powder

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C
2. Whisk the eggs in a large bowl with milk until fluffy. 



3. Add chopped vegetables into the bowl with the whisked eggs.
(I used onions, red pepper, carrots, and brussels sprouts, but any vegetables will do).
4. Add salt and curry to the mixture, mix well.
5. Prepare muffin tin, spray the tin with some baking spray or line with parchment paper.  
6. Put the egg mixture in the muffin tin.



7. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes.
